to Sri. Kelappan and Smt. Kunhi at Nadapuram on 3rd
August 1948. Entered politics through students’
movement. Led Nadapuram Thottilpalam – Thottukod
surplus land agitation and got imprisoned for 30 days
in Kannur Central Prison. Got elected to Lok Sabha
from Ottapalam constituency in 1980. Was the first president
of the district council, Palakkad (1990-92). Got elected
to Kerala assembly in 2001 from Kuzhalmandam. Member
CPI (M) State Committee. Represents Kuzhalmandam constituency.
