of Shri V. Madhavan Pillai. Born at Nedumangad on October
5, 1950. Entered politics through students’ movements.
Took an active part in the formation of S.F.I. in 1970
and D.Y.F.I. in 1980. Was tortured by police during
the Emergency and jailed for 4 months. Was national
president of the DYFI. Now State Committee member and
Thiruvananthapuram District Secretary of CPI (M). Got
elected to KLA in 1987, 1991 and 1996. He served as
the speaker of 10th KLA. Now represents Thiruvananthapuram
north constituency.
