Three science parks will be established in the state
The cabinet has decided to establish three science parks in the state. The science parks will be established near the international airports in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kannur. Rs.200 crores will be invested for each of the science parks and each park will have an area of 10 lakhs sq. meters.

The principal associates of Kannur, Ernakulum and Thiruvananthapuram science parks will the Kannur University, Cochin University of Science & Technology and Kerala University, respectively.The science parks will be established with the funding support from KIIFB.

The Kerala State Science &Technology and Environment Council is designated as the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to implement the project. The KSITL is entrusted the responsibility to acquire land for the science parks.
A nine member consultative group was formed with Prof.K.P.Sudheer, ex-officio Principal Secretary, department of Science & technology as chairman

A resource team will be appointed to expedite the establishment of science parks and the expense of which will be borne from the KIIFB fund. The decision to establish four science parks had taken in the budget 2022-23

Administrative sanction for Isolation blocks
Administrative sanction was given to establish isolation blocks in the Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode Medical Colleges towards extending isolation and medical care to the patients who are affected with various epidemics. The administrative sanction was given to the estimates which costs Rs. 34.74 and Rs 34.92 respectively, prepared with the financial assistance of KIIFB. The department shall ensure that the isolation wards constructed so far is used properly.

Waiver in land sealing
Submission of online application is not required for seeking concession in the land sealing for the cases for which applications were submitted as per the criteria existent prior to 12/10/2022 and also for such applications which are under the consideration of the government or the district level committee. Such applications submitted offline will also be given the similar consideration as in the case of online applications.

Post
The posts of technical assistant grade-2 (processing) pay scale 22200-48000 and helper (weaving) pay scale 17000-35700 in the IIHT, Kannur will be reinstated by allowing waiver in the criteria mentioned in the order dated 22/10/2001

Retrospective effect
Retrospective effect will be awarded with effect from 1st April 2017 onwards to the officer-category employees of Travancore Cochin Chemicals for the allowances approved as per the pay revision order dated 23rd January 2021.

Permission for land utilisation
It was decided to extend approval for converting the 1.03 acres land falls under the resurvey number 251/3, currently under the possession of Bakel Resort Development Corporation (BRDC) into revenue land and issue permission for utilisation towards constructing the proposed PHC there. It was further decided to transfer the 1.03 acres of land currently owned by PHC Pallikkal village in lieu of the land given by the BRDC.
