The Cabinet decided to revise the rates for state carriages, autorickshaws, quadricycles, and taxis.
The revised rates will come into effect from May 1, 2022. Accordingly, it has been decided to increase the minimum fare for ordinary / mofussil services including City / Town / City Circular / City Shuttle from Rs.8 to Rs.10.
City fast services have been revised from Rs 10 to Rs 12, fast passenger and limited-stop fast passenger services from Rs 14 to Rs 15, and superfast services from Rs 20 to Rs 22.
The current rate will continue for express, super express, super air express, super deluxe / semi sleeper services, luxury / high tech and air conditioning services, single axle services, multi-axle services, and existing low floor air condition services.
The current rate for low floor non-air conditioning services has been reduced from Rs 13 to Rs 10. The minimum fare for AC sleeper services has been fixed at Rs 130.
KSRTC will have the authority to issue season tickets to regular passengers for a period of one month or more with a discount of up to 30% of the general fare. All other terms and conditions related to charges will remain the same as in the earlier order. It was also decided to appoint a commission to study the issue of student fares.
Autorickshaws can charge a minimum of Rs 30 (up to 1.5 km). Rs 15 per km can be charged above the minimum charge (Rs. 1.50 per 100 meters).
For quadricycles, the minimum charge is Rs 35 (up to 1.5 km) and Rs 15 per km can be charged above the minimum charge. (Rs. 1.50 per 100 meters).
For motor cabs below 1500 cc (including tourist and regular motor cabs) that can carry up to 7 passengers including the driver, the minimum charge is Rs. 200 (up to 5 km), and Rs 18 per km can be charged above the minimum charge.
For motor cabs above 1500 cc (including tourist and regular motor cabs) that can carry up to 7 passengers including the driver, the minimum charge is Rs. 225 (up to 5 km), and Rs 20 per km can be charged above the minimum charge.

Cabinet decided to create three posts of translators in the Kerala High Court.
Starting a course
The Cabinet approved the launch of three self-financing courses in Fire and Safety at the Fire and Rescue Academy under the Kerala Fire and Rescue Services Department. Cabinet also approved giving certificates from the Fire and Rescue Services Department, Government of Kerala to those who successfully complete the course. Eligible SC / STs should be trained as per the fees borne by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Department.
Land Acquisition
Roads and Bridges Development Corporation has been given the administrative sanction of Rs.10.53 crore for the acquisition of land for Kochi Kundannur Junction development with the financial assistance of KIFB.
Permission granted to lease a total of 3.14 acres of land, including 2 acres owned by the Department of Tourism, to Varkala Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (VIVID) subject to conditions.
