Special Branch Detachment Units
Cabinet decided to establish Special Branch Detachment Units in Kollam, Thrissur, and Kannur Rural Police districts. Three DYSP posts will be created for this purpose. Required employees will be posted through departmental rearrangements.

Permission for Land Use
District Collectors have been granted permission to hand over land required for implementing Kerala Water Authority’s Jal Jeevan Mission programmes. This should be done by retaining the land ownership under Revenue Department and amending the existing laws.

Will include in the OBC List
It has been decided to include Kurukkal / Gurukal, Chettiar, Hindu Chetti, Pappada Chetti, Kumara Kshatriya, Puluva Gounder, Vettuva Gounder, Padayachi Gounder and Kavilia Gounder in the State OBC list.

Malabar Cancer Center
Cabinet decided to convert Malabar Cancer Center as the Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Sciences and Research. It will hence be renamed as Malabar Cancer Center Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Sciences and Research.

Appointment
Anoop Ambika has been appointed as Kerala Startup Mission Chief Executive Officer on three years’ contract basis.

Financial Aid
Cabinet decided to grant Rs 3 lakh ex gratia aid to the family of bus employee Rajan who was burnt to death during an accident in Chelimada, Idukki district. The fund will be allocated from Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Pay Revision
It has been decided to implement 11th pay revision recommendations for 8 permanent employees in Vyloppilly Samskrithi Bhavan.
