Revised administrative approval has been given for acquisition of land to construct Gift City, which is part of the Kochi-Bangalore Industrial Corridor project. 144.9759 hectares (358 acres) of land in Ayyampuzha village in Aluva taluk is being acquired for this. Revised approval order for acquiring land for an estimate of Rs 840 crores will be issued. The financial aid will be given through KIFFB under government’s guarantee.

Landless Olympian T Gopi, a Scheduled Tribe resident of Sultan Bathery’s Moolankavu, will be allotted 10 cents of free land at Fairland in Sultan Bathery Village for constructing a house. The cabinet decision is in consideration with his eligibility and achievements as an Olympian.

Cabinet has decided to grant salary revision to the employees of Council for Food Research and Development as per the recommendation of the 10th Pay Commission. Those in the posts of Director (Finance and Administration), Chief Analyst/Microbiologist, Biotechnologist and Lab Technician will get the benefits of this salary revision.
