354 new posts
It was decided to create additional posts towards strengthening accounts and health departments in various corporations and municipalities of the state. A total of 354 new posts will be created.
Three member committee to check the contents of government advertisements
A three-member committee will be constituted to examine the contents of the government advertisements. The committee was formed as per the verdict by the Supreme Court of India. The Committee consists of Chairperson and two members.
Renowned senior media persons, who have established their mark in the media having an experience of 15 years or more / Or a person who is working in the government in post not less than the post of Principal Secretary / Or a person who working in Indian Information Service in the post not less than the post of Additional Secretary, can become the Chairperson of the Committee.
Retired IAS officers, retired directors in I&PRD, retired I&PRD Additional Director and media persons having at least 15 years of experience can become members of the committee.
It was also decided to make it desirable to have at least one member of the committee be a women. The age of the committee members shall be between 50 and 70.
The jurisdiction of the committee includes the advertisements given by government, public sector, autonomous institutions, courts and Commissions. The Committee shall ensure that the Supreme Court directions related to the contents of advertisements are followed by various departments. The tenure of the committee will be two years.
Pay revision of judicial officers
Revised pay scale will be implemented for the judicial officers with retrospective affect from 01/01/2016 onwards. It was also decided to entrust the Department of Finance to take decision towards distribution of the arrears.
Handing over of land
Land for compensatory afforestation will be sanctioned, in lieu of the 4.332 hector forestland acquired for the proposed Hill Highway project – to construct the Etapparambu-Kolichal stretch of the 127.42 km Nandarakadavu-Cherupuzha sector, in Kasargode district.
Since sufficient land is not available with the state Public Works Department, the ownership of the revenue land in the Bheemanadi village will be transferred to the forest department for compensatory afforestation, as per the guidelines given by the Department of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India.
Appointment
It was decided to extend the tenure of P S Rajeev as the Director & Managing Director of the Kerala Land Development Board, on reappointment basis, for one more year with effect from 31/12/2022 onwards.
It was decided to reappoint V I Tajuddin Ahmed as the new Director of the Cooperative Academy of Professional Education (Cape), Thiruvananthapuram subject to the relevant norms regarding this.
