Plus One admissions, 81 temporary batches to continue, increase in the number of marginal seats up to 30%
The cabinet meeting has given approval to continue the 81 temporary batches for plus One through single window admission in the academic year 2023-24 for which the sanction was given in the year 2022-23, to continue and for marginal increase in the number of seats.
The 18 science batches, 49 humanities batches and 8 commerce batches retained in the year 2022-23 will continue. 81 temporary batches will continue including two science batches which were approved temporarily, one batch each of humanities and commerce shifted temporarily and a commerce batch approved temporarily in K K N College, Pariyaram.
30% seats will be increased in government higher secondary schools in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargode districts and 20 percent seats will be increased in aided higher secondary schools.
10% marginal increase in the number of seats will be approved for aided higher secondary schools up on demand. 20% marginal increase in the number of seats will be made in the government and aided higher secondary schools in Kollam, Ernakulum and Thrissur districts.

Padma awards: Screening Committee for selecting names to be recommended
A Special Screening Committee (Cabinet Sub-committee) will be formed to find out, consider and finalise the names to be recommended for Padma awards 2024.
Saji Cheriyan, Minister for Fisheries, Youth Affairs & Culture will be the Convenor and Chief Secretary will be the Secretary of the Screening Committee, which consists of ministers K Rajan, K.Krishnankutty, A K Saseendran, Adv.Antony Raju, Roshy Augustine and Ahammad Devalkovil as the members.

69 teacher posts and 20 non-teaching posts will be created in the newly opened Diary Science Colleges under the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
A temporary post of Administrative Officer’s post will be created in the K R Narayanan Institute of Visual Science and Arts. An officer in the rank of Under Secretary will be appointed on deputation basis.
Administrative sanction to construct war memorial
The administrative sanction for Rs.8,08,70,000/- is given for constructing a War Memorial at Thiruvananthapuram.

Government guarantee
The guarantee period for working capital loan worth Rs.1.80 crore taken from State Bank of Travancore (currently State Bank of India) for Kottayam Textiles and Prabhuram Mills, which are the unit mills of Kerala State Textile Corporation, will be extended for a period of two years, from 01/01/2023 onwards, subject to the relevant norms regarding this.

Appointment
It was decided to appoint B.Jayarajan as Forest Watcher by creating supernumerary post (Special Recruitment) whose father late B.Bomman, was killed in elephant attack while working in supernumerary post as Forest Watcher.

Benefits of pay revision
It was decided to sanction 9th and 10th pay revision benefits to the permanent employees of Vechoor Modern Rice Mills, which is under the control of Oil Palm India Limited, a public Sector Undertaking owned by the department of Agriculture.

Honorarium to the State Government Representative in New Delhi
It was decided to sanction Rs.One lakh per month as honorarium in lieu of salary and allowances to the Special Representative of State Government in Delhi.
Approval was also given for appointing two Assistants, one Office Assistant and a driver.
