Assembly session from 25th January onwards
It was decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the 10th session of the 15th Assembly from 25th January onwards.
CUSAT mishap: Rs.5 lakhs to families of the deceased
It was decided to sanction Rs.5 lakhs each to the families of four people who died in the mishap that occurred during the Tech Fest held on 25th November 2023 in Cochin University campus, last year, from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Governor and Ministers will take salutes
In the parade by various forces during the Republic Day celebrations this year, hon’ble Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will be taking salute in Thiruvananthapuram and ministers will be taking salutes in the parades at various district centres. V.Sivankutty, Minister for Education & Labour will take part in the celebrations along with the Governor in Thiruvanathapuram.

28 Scientific Officer posts in Forensic Research Laboratary
28 Scientific Officer posts were created Forensic Research Laboratary. The newly created posts include Biology-12, Documents-10 and Chemistry-6. The posts were created for the smooth functioning of the Forensic Science Laboratory and towards completing forensic examinations in a time-bound manner.
Kerala Climate Resilient Agri- Value Chain Modernization (KERA) Project will be implemented
Approval was given to implement Kerala Climate Resilient Agri-Value Chain Modernization (KERA) Project. $285 mn is the total estimated cost of the project. Rs.709.65 crores will be the state contribution and Rs.1655.85 will be the World Bank aid for the project.
The major objective of the project is to help the small farmers and agro-based MSMEs to adopt climate resilient methods and extend help in investing in agriculture & allied sectors.
Sanctioning of the state share of Rs.709.65 crores will be done by allocating the amount required for the fiscal years 2024-25 to 2028-29 in the state plan fund.
Climate resilience & mitigation in agriculture, intensifying value addition-oriented commercialisation of small land holders aimed at local economic development, empowerment of farmers’/producers’ organisations, farmers’ producers’ companies, agri-businesses, agri-startups, small & medium enterprises in food-agriculture sectors, project management unit, contingent emergency response (CERC) and climate funding are the components of the project.
Fund will be sanctioned to avail land for Aerospace Control Systems Centre
Fund will be sanctioned to avail land for Aerospace Control Systems Centre. The fund will be sanctioned from the Rs.1000 crore allocated from KIIFB to establish IT Corridor/Satellite Parks in the state. The fund was identified to ensure availability 60 acres of land near VSSC, Veli/Thumba.
Urban Digital Mission Project – Committees formed
It was decided to introduce the E-Governance service being implemented by National Urban Digital Mission in the state on a pilot basis. Approval was also given for the State Executive, Implementation Committees and State Project Management Unit, for this.

The cabinet has given approval for the Bill to leave the appointments in Kerala Tailoring Workers Welfare Fund Board to the Public Service Commission.
Whetted
The decision taken to revise the pension benefits of retired judicial officers with effect from 1st January 2016, was whetted.
U.V Jose appointed as Director of Suchitwa Mission
U.V.Jose, IAS (retd) will be appointed as the Executive Director of Suchitwa Mission.
Increment sanctioned
Two advance increments were sanctioned to K.C.Lekha, Under Secretary in the department of Finance, who has won Dhyan Chand award.
Issued for lease
It was decided to give the surplus land owned by government in Erath village, Adoor, to the Tourism Promotion Council, Pathanamthitta for implementing Nedumkunnumala Tourism project by charging an annual lease at the rate of 2% of market price of land, for 30 years.
It was decided to provide One acre land on lease for constructing building and campus for Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre in Cheruvakkal village, Thiruvananthapuram.
Government guarantee
It was decided to sanction additional government guarantee for Rs.200 crores to the Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation.
